Coaches and NLP practitioners are, by trade, great with people one-on-one. But how do you build an online audience that supports the digital side of your business and gets you noticed on a larger scale? Engage your ideal audience by intentionally providing the content they are looking for; it’s a win-win.

Step one of building audience engagement is to make sure you’re talking to the right people. Don’t waste great material on the wrong crowd and then blame yourself for a lackluster response. Be strategic about who you want to reach.

Practice some focused creative ideation and put yourself in the position of the ideal person you want to meet or deliver your message to. Imagine that avatar of the perfect client; who are they? What propels them to make decisions? What causes them to spend money on things like a life coach? Get creative with imagining the perfect receiver of your message, and that will largely guide your content to match.

Have a plan for what you are going to implement. How will you measure efficacy? What problems are you solving for your viewers? Which outlets are you using, and have you learned how to maximize your efforts for each one? These are great areas to outsource to a professional if it doesn’t come naturally to you. Be careful not to sacrifice your time and energy on tasks that can be better performed by someone else. This frees you up to stay in your strength zone and have more to give your clients.

Don’t rely on gimmicks to funnel people to you. Stay authentic; followers are drawn to realness and a genuine voice. Be careful not to sacrifice the true essence of who you are and what you offer just to abide by the brand you are trying to build. YOU are the brand!
